Merely that Ghandi had an idealistic view of the world, similar to that as shared by a child and lived isolated from much of the world. Many who live in 3rd world countries and are not exposed to all sorts of facts and history, or are blinded by religious faith to an agenda, share such devout idealism.
You know how the old saying goes:
"If you're not a liberal when you are young you have no heart, if you're not a conservative when you're older you have no brain."
My bleeding heart liberal days lasted till I was about 15. If you asked me then about a one-world government, UN led compassion for all mankind, socialism that feeds and educates the world's masses spectacularly and efficiently, or even universal healthcare I would've said it sounds great.
Then one matures, gathers far more information about the various groups, nations and movements and realizes liberal visions are pure Fantasyland™ and if made reality would enslave the masses, subverting global progress.
It's perfectly normal & healthy for a 12 year old to hold such liberal, idealistic views. It only becomes questionable when they are 36, 54 or 83 and still hold the same views.
What would be interesting will be Frank's grandson's views 15 or 25 years from now.
