Choices vs reality

Where the test becomes unreliable is by asking one to make choices not based in reality.

For instance, some questions are easy. I don't support CP and I do support abortion so I can strongly disagree and strongly agree, but when the test queation is something like, Do you support universal health care? Of course I do, but the difference in me and glassy eyed liberals is that I will not go down a path that will likely end badly while those glassy eyed liberals will charge right over the precipice based on any hare brained promise of universal health care. So, in that case my real world choice might not match my philosophical choice.

Choosing a course where all the questions were not answered and all the outcomes not considered is what brought the Bush administration to where we find ourselves today.

Without a doubt the only true test of our political compass must be based on real and not hypothetical choices.
