re: I offer....

Very nice Jody.

When one realizes the universe is energy expressing with duality, and that we all are simply , relatively complex, forms of energy one begins to understand relationships with others as a function of this energy duality.

A single sine wave:

Our personal experience as a collected field of energy comprises trillions upon trillions of signals, wave forms with frequency and a wave length.

Our most "perfect" match shares many of our experiences - but from the reverse polarity. One could say they complete our wave form or are a mirror image of ourselves with a different bias.

We can see in much the advanced animal kingdom this opposition manifests as gender disparity: male and female. In more primitive organisms we see other forms of regeneration at work.

All energy must regenerate. All energy cannot be destroyed and it propagates.

The most coherent propagation loses the least amount of data and adds data whereas inefficient propagation loses data or does not improve upon the data contained.

Herein we see the goal of human reproduction from an evolutionary perspective: improve and refine, while propagating.

All those who have engaged in such scientific genetic programs have been labeled monsters by many folks. The idea of curtailing the reproduction of criminals and the mentally retarded was very popular when folks began to understand the concept of a genetic code. Even geniuses like Nikola Tesla heartily endorsed such policies.

When Hitler based his eugenics program on such ideas they developed a negative notoriety. When he declared some races superior and some inferior he set back the science of genetics 100 years and even now the human geneticist must forever fear his findings be interpreted politically and socially as casting favor on some racial genotype.

The reality is ALL humanity can be improved - and is improving and adjusting all the time. The UberMensch as conceived by Hitler of Nordic, German types intermarrying would actually eventually cancel out parts of the genetic code and create a certain retardation. One can see this in the intermarriage of folks in the Middle East, such as Saudi Arabia where birth defects and mental retardation are the legacy of generations of intermarriage from a limited gene-pool started by tribes intermarrying.

(As an aside, Osama Bin-Laden's mentality or lack thereof can be blamed partially upon his genetic heritage)

So back to the point about polarity...

An ideal coupling takes two folks of similar development and they reproduce. It doesn't matter whether they have IQs of 45 or IQs of 165 - the importance is in parity.

Nature generally does this by itself. Our human world with its exploitation of sex, interferes with this instinct and folks procreate without much thought of longterm compatibility. The result is inefficient propagation and a general reduction in intelligence, physical vitality, etcetera.

The US after centuries of growing taller, is now growing shorter. The average intelligence of the US citizen is going down. Not all of this can be placed upon reproductive practices - but much of it can.

That's the world's dirty little secret. No one wants to say it aloud, because it reminds them of the evil eugenics programs of over half a century ago. However much of the world has a fundamental limit on intelligence due to genetics and unintelligent reproductive practices.

So ideally folks would select and intermarry and reproduce with genetically disparate yet mentally equivalent partners. Each generation of such reproductive practices would propagate the species most efficiently and intelligently.

Divorce would be almost non-existent, compared to current trends, because mental disparities are the single greatest cause of divorce. Happy families would result.

However, what you point out is very important: that each individual must find their own balance and each do so differently.

Often you have to experience many lifetimes with incompatible partners to develop the skill of choosing an appropriate one. One also sees negative attraction at work - where folks are drawn to people they have very negative pasts with. They bias these people positive at first, because they seek to balance the negative viewpoint of the past.

Many will need to experience the see-saw of same-sex relationships for a number of lifetimes before they find this is not necessarily conducive to their personal growth or longterm development (life to life).

And forcing others to comply to more intelligent reproductive practices would rob them of this most valuable learning experience - causing them trouble later.

So everyone must live their lives and one watches as small parts of the world become brighter, while large parts become dimmer. The small bright parts have a responsibility to do all they can for humanity - because they know that they will be coming back again and reap the rewards of their efforts or lack thereof.
