Demographics...
Jody, I don't mind that you posted it at all. I apologize if my soapbox distracted from the point you may have wanted to make about technological progress.
Slate, MSNBC, etcetera know that these pieces appeal to a portion of their demographic.
"Warring males are obsolete, the earth will be fruitful and an Amazonia society of peace, power and fulfillment is just around the corner!"
Heck, I could go for that too. I saw "The Perils of Gwendoline in the land of the Yik Yak" when it first came out.
"Bring on all your women...I can take them!"
Now if all the female dominant types could be guaranteed hotties, like they are portrayed in such films, I'm sure everyone would be happy.
