The Corrs
Irish rock band, made their commercial success with generic pop, but also Julliard-trained musicians whose first love is clearly Irish and Celtic music. Fantastic arrangements of traditional Irish folk music using modern instruments.
If you ever come across the video, you'll love a live performance they did at the Royal Albert Hall, featuring a cover of Fleetwood Mac's Dreams...with Mick Fleetwood on drums. Their performance was amazing, every bit as good as the original by Fleetwood Mac, with a uniquely Irish flavor from the fiddle and flute; and it was especially "piquant" to watch the greying Mick beaming down on the fresh-faced kids performing his work twenty five years later, with such panache and passion.
