Even with his few disingenuous responses, Adminajihad took the high road and won the debate. I still have issue with his religious ideas, they remind me of the scientologists making logical errors when imagining that it is possible to infer a spiritual existence from science. He wouldn't be the first to have these fantasies, so it's hardly evil, but it is a mistake.

The mistake made by 'our side' is failing to realize that Jewish people created the state of Israel because they trace their roots back to their exodus from Egypt. They spent many years in 'wilderness' without any land of their own. Then, one day, their leaders decided to take someone else's land for themselves. In these ancient times political leadership was often the same as spiritual leadership, so their intent was taken as the intent of God. Jews believe that the land previdously known as Palestine is theirs because God said so.

Since God doesn't exist... how could He have said any such thing?

Muslims on the other hand hate Jews so much because they have been on the losing side of every conflict for the last 3000 years that they will make up any story to deny legitimacy to the existence of the Isreali state. They will even go so far as to deny that the Holocaust occurred. Historically (in the distant past) wars have been considered the most legitimate way to gain control of land, and the losers were often slaughtered to the point of genocide, nothing substantial remained of their culture afterwards. The victors wrote the history books. Unfortunately the world's population increased so dramatically during the 20th century that no conventional war would ever completely eliminate the population of a conquered people. This has led to a paradox that cannot be resolved: the Israeli state is seen as legitimately won and defended during the six-day war, yet at the same time there are millions of Palestinians surviving, displaced, disenfranchised, and writing their own version of what happened. Consequently we have two versions of history that are often at odds with each other.

IMO when Jews, Christians, Muslims, Hindus, etc. finally realize that their religious beliefs have no basis in reality, all these disputes will slowly but surely find resolution.
