Is this guy worse than the Shah?
Read the history of American relations with Iran, not just the headlines, the history and then come back with comments about the current leadership of the Iran.
On top of that, one of the outcomes of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars is that the US cannot any longer pretend to be the moral compass of the world. The US cannot even pretend to read a moral compass.
The only thing the current US administration cares less about than civil rights is human rights. It is absurd for anyone in the US to bitch about other countries.
Time to turn that finger around and ask who is pointing it. There is a lot to do at home before we criticize anyone.
(And Bush is afraid to face an unfiltered crowd in the US, let alone go to Iran and talk to them.)
