That's what environmentalism is all about: $$$$$$
You want to shift the wealth, so you conjure a crisis and get the dupes to pass legislation to shift the wealth for you.
I noted that they made the "human" infestation start somewhere in the western half of the USA. And sure, some of the animators/creators probably don't believe a word of it, but obviously some of them do and the others know it will sell to the angry enviro-fascists who see all industry as evil and manned space exploration as a plague.
Is it any wonder the HabitableZone only attracts a handful of new folks every year when space exploration is viewed, and portrayed via media, as spreading the black death?
Sure you may see a line of environmental equilibrium, but too many now are convinced man is somehow destroying the planet, in fact it has become the de facto science curriculum in schools and is constantly repeated in the media.
Projections don't bode well for humanity, when a fundamental self-hate is encouraged and fostered from the earliest ages. The creators of this film were probably all weaned up on the global warming, Earth Day propaganda which boomed in the early nineties.
This is the next generation.
Now ask yourself where does the generation brought up on films like this then take it fifteen or twenty years from now?
Genocide for Gaia!? Bringing "balance" back to the planet!
That's what concerns me. All that is required for evil to spread unchecked is for good people to remain silent and let their children be indoctrinated.
