By your logic, if Aztec kings had the capability, they should have sent directions for finding them to Western Europe a century or two earlier.
Or conversely, if the Aztec kings could have sunk the first few Spanish fleets to cross the Atlantic and delay the conquest by a century or two, you're arguing that they shouldn't have bothered.
Neither makes sense to me. I agree that the Aztecs were in great trouble regardless, but speeding up a disaster doesn't strike me as a good deal.
