The problem is the poorest people and nations are the ones growing the population.
We are supposed to feel sorry for them living in over-populated sqwaller, and understand why they want to immigrate and even go as far as to facilitate said immigration to the more prosperous nations.
Once in those more prosperous locals, they often bring with them their own culture and desires which allows and encourages them to go forth and procreate...Thus the problem only gets worse...And worse...And...
