re: Then again...

I’ve seen some supernatural spiritual type of things- Things of which I can not explain. These experiences have helped convert me from a scientific atheist, to someone who believes in the afterlife. Also, my faith in God has gotten me through many hard times, including this incident with colon cancer. Throughout my whole life, as long as I have had faith in God, things have always worked out for me.

I see Heaven as a real place that exists outside of our universe. Perhaps it shares the same space and its physical properties exist outside of our universe’s physical properties. Or perhaps it is literally outside of or universe. I believe this place has its own ‘matter’ that follows its own physical laws. It may be very similar to our matter or totally alien. (Could ghost be people made of this other matter that shares the same space, but since it follow different physical laws to our matter, it is not ‘real;’ to us?)

When my scientific mind was confronted with the possibility there could be life after death, I started wondering how God could do it without violating the physical laws of our universe. Here is what I came up with. I am not saying this is how he does it, but he could do it this way. And let me add that I believe that God created our universe (Therefore he existed before and outside of our universe) and all the physical and scientific laws that govern it.

Perhaps, when we die, God takes those of us, who have met his requirements, and rebuilds us in his realm using the matter that exists there.

How could he do that? Perhaps the matter in his realm mirrors that in ours, and all he has to do it make a copy of our bodies. That shouldn’t be hard for him. He just has to have an ‘atomic map’ of every atom in our bodies. Then just use that map to build us a body out of his realm’s matter. (I believe this is how Jesus turned one fish into hundreds. He used an ‘atomic map’ of the first fish, along with matter in the ground, to make hundreds of copies of that fish).

Or maybe God doesn’t need to make copies of our bodies. Maybe he has bodies, or something else, waiting to house our thoughts and spirits.

One thing I am certain of, there is more out there beyond our universe. And there is more to our existence than our physical matter and the laws that govern it- and why couldn’t there be?
