re: And then again...

"A critical mind, that's all that's needed. "

Or a mind open to the possibilities that there may be more to our existence than this physical matter we are made of, and the scientific laws that govern it.

I believe that the creator of this universe had a purpose when he created it. That purpose was for intelligent life, like ourselves, to evolve independently from him. I believe that he came to the Earth as a man not only to experience what it was like to be human, but to also connect with us and give us a way into his realm. Those who believe into him he promised will not die but will be with him in his kingdom.

I believe he has a purpose for us. What that is, I don’t know. But when we die, we pass over to his realm by his methods that are beyond us.

We are important. We are what the creator of this universe set out to create. We are the product of his creation. We are the end result of billions of years of work that resulted from following God’s physical and natural laws that govern this universe.

I mentioned this to Lindy, so she has heard it;

It was a few days after my surgery it was on a Sunday. It was very quiet and no one had come to visit that day and the wife was at home spending some time with the kids. I had started feeling depressed the previous day and it was getting worse. I was really hating the bag attached to my body. How was I going to deal with a colostomy? At that time, I did not know the extent of my cancer. Was it all over my body? Was I going to die from it? And my job? What would become of that? Would I be able to work? Would they replace me? How am I going to pay the bills? I got a family to provide for. I am too young for this.

Money worries about hospital bills. Visions of seeing my job going down the tubes. My wife forced to support the family while I slowly die of cancer.

I was getting very depressed and very worried. I prayed to God that although my faith was weak, I still had my faith in him. And he came through and settled all my worries. I am back to work. No signs of cancer in my body. My strength is coming back. Six months of mild chemo, a reversal surgery, some checkups, and my life is back to normal.

And today I got my genetics test back. It is not genetic. Good news for my kids and for lessoning the risk of it reoccurring in me. Thank you God.

My faith is stronger now.
