Croup treatment
When the swelling impairs breathing to a serious degree run a hot shower and a cold sink in the bathroom or vice versa, the goal being to create TONS of steam. Get your child in there and breath it in with them
The steam will shrink the swelling and breathing again.
I know...it saved my life a few decades ago. ;-)
