The truth is a heavy cross to bare isn't it?
Upon hearing about Darwin's theory of Evolution, the wife of the Bishop of Worcester said, "My dear, descended from the apes! Let us hope it is not true, but if it is, let us pray it will not become generally known.
In 1995 Sir Roger Bannister made a remark about Black athletes and genetics. In response, Theresa Marteau, of the Psychology and Genetic Research Unit at the Hospital of London respeonded, " "It is potentially racist to look at the biological factors. I don't need to know whether what Bannister is correct, and I don't think there needs to be research."
It appears that some knowledge is just too scary and world shattering for some folks.
