With all the bluster you guys have over the threat Iran poses, you'd think you'd all be in favor of letting those guys wipe each other off the map.

Yeah, that would be so much better than the Iraqi civilian death toll from the current war (about half the number that died in Hiroshima). And the current war permanently neutralized Saddam as a WMD threat, and if you believe the last NIE, probably Iran as well.

You might want to rethink that statement.

Most of us realize that atomic weapons flying around the Middle East would be a bit more critical to the well-being of the rest of the world--and the U.S.--than that.

The problem with crazy regimes with nukes is that the nukes tend to find their way to places they shouldn't be. The threat of a rogue missile attack is being dealt with fairly well by the developing defense systems. It's someone slipping a bomb into Paris in a truck that's the issue. Good luck tracing the origin of a nuke after it's gone off.
