Rob, as you can probably read in my reaction to Buck, I think he overstepped a bit there but I completely understand the motivation. The Clintons were certainly not a perfect first couple while in office or in their private lives but, compared to the chimp and his court, were far beyond in terms of competence and ethics.
There's a real defensiveness though by liberals towards any disparaging words towards Bill because of the brutal treatment he got while in office. You can't live that way though if you want to retain your credibility. If there were policies he made that ended up wrong, our country functions best if you point those out just as we've been trying to do with the moronic moves of Bush.
Now the one thing I will not put up with though is using Clinton as a punching bag to try to divert attention from someone else. When we point out a major flaw in Bush and his cohorts, I will fight tooth and nail if someone does not address that issue but instead starts pointing fingers at Bill instead. That's a chickensh*t debating style and I'll call people on it every time.
