The "Bush boom" of which you speak was financed with record deficits of all kinds, much of them for a war which was supposed to cost on the order of $20 billion dollars. And last on the order of 4 months. To prevent Saddam from using WMDs against the US, some of them from crop dusters flown from cargo vessels off of the US coast. Really.
The Republicans love of bigger and bigger government, spending and more spending, borrowing and more borrowing has laid eggs which are hatching now, and will have an adverse impact upon the American people for generations. Which is exactly what they wanted, by the way. Cripple the economy so as to prevent social spending.
Lessee if you can find a way to blame Clinton for this one. Maybe the reckless spending of the Democratic Congress under the control of the Clintons. As good as any, because it doesn't have to make sense to be believed in some circles.
