I've told you this before. Go look up where government money is actually going. The war in Iraq is almost lost in the noise. The people worried about the U.S. credit rating are talking about Social Security and Medicare, costs that will continue and grow for decades, not for a war that will be essentially over in a couple of years.
Just the INCREASE in government entitlements in the past year is well over half the annual cost of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. In four more years, the estimated annual increases in that spending category will equal it, even assuming the war cost in four years is still what it is now.
Lessee if you can find a way to blame Clinton for this one. Maybe the reckless spending of the Democratic Congress under the control of the Clintons. As good as any, because it doesn't have to make sense to be believed in some circles.
