The R&B bit was one of their intros to a commercial break (like the "rabbit out of hat" series), and it went like this:
Bullwinkle: "Eenie, meanie, chili beanie -- the spirits are about to speak!"
Rocky: "Are they friendly spirits?"
Bullwinkle: "Friendly? Just listen!"
[cut to commercial]
The Ruby Begonia line is from Amos & Andy, but my guess is most people remember its revival on Laugh-In, along with "Calhoun the lawyer gonna be here in the mornin'," and "Here come the judge," when Flip Wilson (remember him?) was a frequent guest. I recall they also trotted it out when Sammy Davis Jr. guested.
