For most of my life I have had Tinnitus, due to operating loud farm equipment without mufflers when I was young. A few years back I woke up to the noise of a loud truck running up and down the streets of the neighborhood. I couldn’t understand why he would be doing that at 5 in the morning. I looked out the window looking for the truck, and saw none. Then I put my fingers in my ears to cut it out, and it mad no difference. The sound wasn’t a truck outside; the sound was inside my head. After a few days it subsided, but returned off and on for the next year or two. My doctor couldn’t figure it out either. I have since gotten hearing aids, which cut down on the Tinnitus. They help enormously with understanding people talk.
