Dallas is like that, too.
You rarely hear what transplants like me think of as a Texas accent. In the firm I work for, of 60-odd people there might be a half-dozen native Texans who sound like it. (Granted, the place recruits heavily at Kansas State, reputed to have the best architectural engineering program in the Midwest.)
Fort Worth, I dunno... I don't get to spend near as much time there as I'd like to.
