Let me know when anyone in the US amends the constitution to stay in power, rounds up political enemies, controls the media, criminalizes dissent, commits massive elction fraud in repeated elections and all but eliminates political opposition.

But if you want to stick to economics....

Let me know when anyone in the US starts nationalizing the oil industry, nationalizing the phone companies and other utilities, eliminates the Federal reserve, and pays back all it's debts (heh heh heh).
By "penalize the productive" - you talking about income tax, which caps out at 34%?
