If Obama is elected I promise to give him the benefit of the doubt. I’ll give him a chance to prove himself.
Right now, I see him a book with a great cover, and blank pages on the inside. If he wins, I’ll give him a chance to write some pages. Thery could be good or bad.
And a nagging thought keeps bugging me. I try not to be a prejudice persons. I have several friends who are black. The only person I ever hired happens to be black and is a great employee.
And when there were talks about Colon Powell running for president, years ago, I was ready to vote for him. If Dr. Condoleezza Rice would run for president, I would vote for her. She is one of the smartest people in Washington (Not that there is much completion:)
That being said, my nagging thought is “If Obama was a white man with the exact same experience, would he even be considered?†The answer that comes back is “No, I don’t think so.â€
Any, If he does get elected, I will give him a chance. He could end up being a good leader. I just hope he doesn’t tax the middle class into the poorhouse. If he doesn’t do that, I may actually end up liking the guy.
In these volatile and sensitive times I would prefer someone with a longer resume, but we, the public, has to play with the cards dealt to us.
But I am still voting for McCain.
