A possibility, of course
Although my impression of Obama is that he is, to the center of his soul, a nice guy, I also think that in this society he's probably faced adversities that a lot of us, through no virtue of our own, have never had to deal with.
His smile is, I beleive, 100% genuine, but I'd also bet there's some serious strength behind it.
