Say that "discovering" America wasn't such a good thing.

Let's not forget that the world was actually bigger than was thought and without America getting in the way, the dragons would have eaten them.

But if you want compare "global warming" to a reckless adventure that results in some people taking gold from the natives and getting rich, I think it's a pretty good analogy.
