1) I made a post below in another thread stating that there was scientific consensus on the anthropogenic global warming issue.
2) I cited an article on the issue. I looked for arguments against the article and found the piesner letter- I saw that it was garbage, and had been debunked, but I saw that a huge number of blogs had adopted his letter as gospel and incorporated it into the party line.
3) I had FAITH that you would parrot the party line on this topic, so I reposted it as a ne thread in big letters just for you.
4) my faith as well placed, you did respond with the debunked Piesner letter- you could have been smart and checked to see if it had been debunked, in fact I am willing to bet you did, you just didnt care since it was the party line....
5) I call you on it and point out the Piesner letter is crap. I debunk it, and show you it was dishonest at best, and give ADDITIONAL facts supporting my original claim.
6) You ignore all my points and make more erroneous claims, and change the topic.
7) I point this out and address your new points one by one... and ask you questions.
8) You ignore this and shift the issue again and make wild conspiracy claims you cant back up.
I ask you again, "why should I take you any more seriously than the 'moon landing was faked' nuts? On this topic your arguments are remarkably similar.
First of all, I don't think you're clear on what the word "consensus" means. Do most scientists in the field agree with your views? Sure they do. I can count.
But is it unanimous? No, it isn't. And when information comes up that casts doubt on the premise, or doubt on the numbers, I'll keep bringing it forward. And claiming that everyone casting doubt on the premise is in the pay of the evil corporations isn't particularly intellectually honest either.
