re: The science has been settled: AGW is a reality, NOW what can be debated is what, if anything, to do about it.

A conspiracy requires leaders and some kind of organization. An informational cascade doesn't. Just saying.

What would it take to convince me? A little less prophecy, a little less lunacy and hysteria, a little more looking at what's actually happening right now, and a little less eager drooling by the proponents of the concept to grab the steering wheel of society while they simultaneously try to shut down solutions that could get the job done without totalitarian controls.

As an aside, you might recall that there was a recent scientific finding that the warming was in a "lull" for about ten years, which is fairly convenient, since no matter WHAT the environment actually does for the next decade, nobody can be proven wrong. Be that as it may, maybe it is just a "lull." Maybe it's a longer-term trend.

But out of the hundreds of models and thousands of man-hours thrown at climate prediction over the past years, to the best of my knowledge, none of the models showed this "lull" ahead of time. Any more surprises?
