The ONLY finding you will accept is "Hey, it isnt happening"

Your only problem with this report is that it came to the same conclusion that the rest of the studies have- which, surprise surprise, is exactly what you would expect if all the science is converging on the reality.

I'm sorry, but AGW IS happening, and it WILL continue. This report had to be forced from this administration BY COURT ORDER FOUR YEARS LATE because they realized there really was no way to spin the reality. The scientists agree, and so do the people actively trying to downplay it... where does that leave you?

Even YOU have to recognize that the people rejecting the idea of AGW are NOT doing it because they have the science on their side- they clearly don't- they are rejecting it because they dont like the answers from a political standpoint.

Politics HAS NO PLACE in deciding IF its happening, as I have tried to make clear over and over the politics can only begin to enter the discussion when we start discussing what to do about AGW.

Yes, at some point claiming AGW isn't real does become comparable to the flat earth society and right now your arguments ARE starting to look a lot like theirs... "Yeah all the experts in the field say its real, but theyre all in a conspiracy, or all caught up in the 'movement', I am a free thinker- I just KNOW what the real truth is- screw the reams of data that say otherwise!"

I am not out to punish the US (contrary to Lee's typically asinine post), I dont feel any animosity towards technology or industrialization (In fact if you have paid attention to my posts you would know I am about as pro-technology as they come), I am not out to go back to an agrarian lifestyle, I want us to keep our standard of living as high as possible. THAT is why I think we need to decide what to do about this issue ASAP- the longer we keep denying the problem, the more painful it will be to deal with.

That's simply just the way it is... If you dont like the proposed solutions to the problem, fine- we can argue the politics there, but to deny the fact that there is a problem changes nothing, it just delays, and makes more urgent, the discussion we SHOULD be having.

Some of the solutions I would advocate you would advocate as well... Going massively nuclear for power for starters...
