I know what I think I mean.
Government needs to be big enough to get the job done. It can be argued that it may seek to be bigger than that, but it needs to be at least that big. The opposing position is that any government is too much.
As for all these liberals you seem to find everywhere that want to expand government until it controls everything, I just don't see them. What I do see is a strong and organized constituency with its own captive political party and propaganda apparat that wants nothing to do with any government at all, UNLESS it is used to provide legal and statutory protections for unregulated commercial activity, intellectual property, tax shelters, consumer litigation, i.e. any activity which might be inconvenient for business.
