That's not Guilt - THIS is guilt....
5 years ago I was lucky to make US$400 a day on dayrate.
Now we're topping US$2,000 regularly.
If anyone's going to be guilty, it should be me, but I reckon you guys owe me one. Remember US$10/bbl for crude oil?
Most of my working life the price of crude went down. year by year my colleagues were fired, en-masse. 40% cut one year, another 50% cut the next. a few% raise, then another 20% cut.
I started work in Australia in a group of 120 people. 8 years later, there were 10 of us left, and now there is just ONE.
My job was finding oil. Nobody wanted to pay to find it. Now you all wish you had.
THAT's Guilt!
