True.

My vehicles are almost all "gas guzzlers." I pay through the nose for gas and everything around here is spaced far apart. When the market changes again and the large SUVs can be bought below wholesale as the rest move to small vehicles with higher gas mileage, eventually the consumption will go down enough that gas companies are selling less gas and making less profit than if they lower the price.

I'll ride out the wave of $5.00 and $6.00 gasoline, and when I think it has reached it's peak, will use such high pricing to invest in used huge vehicles at fire sale prices. When the market rebounds somewhat as gas prices stabilize down in the future, I will try to recover some of my investment. At least enough to balance out the higher fuel costs paid in the meanwhile.

In any rate, in a worst case scenario, if the enviro-hysteria and manipulated global warming hype continues to the point of riots and the need to relocate away from the cities, the larger vehicles will be able to move more family, goods, gas and provide temporary shelter from the rioting, disappointed Obama voters anywhere.

;-)

PS
Listening to some folks they sound as if they EAGERLY await the latter days and the breakdown of society. A sign that society has progressed to that point where they desperately seek an escape mechanism from the daily grind and the synthetic values entertainment has corrupted the masses with.
