There are "facts" here--damn few of them--but they are connected in ways nobody sane would connect them, mostly referring to the speculations of other crazy people.

A ring of mushrooms on a lawn is a fact. Declaring they are left over from a circle of leprechauns having a midnight dance does not automatically follow.

The actual events of that day, including the specific actions of the military, were covered in excruciating depth in the original reports on this subject. God knows I linked to such sources enough in the past. I could link to them again if I thought it would stick this time.

There was nothing sinister. Incompetence maybe, poor planning, or preparing for the wrong kind of attack.

I am fascinated, and a little unnerved, that there are so many people who embrace the idea that the planet is under the unbreakable control of omnipotent monsters, and in fact, will resist to their last breath any evidence that it is not.

What drives this? I would expect a normal mind to seize on any random straw that would tend to prove this dark hallucination was untrue. But it's usually exactly the opposite. I honestly can't understand it.
