Some of the teachings have value- even today, however the twisted vile matrix in which they are embedded overshadows and overwhelms the positive gems.
The whole concept that we are inherently sinful, and unworthy of of the god that supposedly created us (and our flaws) in 'his' image is insulting to humanity AND the 'god' it portrays.
Add to that the idea that our sinfulness is somehow only paid for by the blood sacrifice of jesus and that if we do not acknowledge and show proper appreciation for this primitive and barbaric debt that we did not ask for, then the 'loving god' that created us will cast us into hell to suffer torture for eternity... it amazes me that ANY of this nonsense is taken seriously!
IF you believe all that, how can you find such an evil god worthy of worship?
