re: and no "You're no Hillary Clinton" moment, either

If Biden had compared Palin to Hillary it would have come off as sexist anyway. She should be compared to everyone and anyone who could be/has been in the position of vice-president. People should remember that she is running for vice-president and not for President like Hillary.
My main point is, however, that you cannot compare two women in politics just because they are women in politics. The fact that they are both women does not make it automatically okay to compare them. It is very insulting to just throw women in one lump only to be compared to one another. Sarah Palin should be compared and vetted based on the qualifications of VICE presidential canidates of both parties and sexes and that is the only way that it won't come off as being patronizing.
Most of the women who object to Sarah Palin have been trained in the school that this is a man's world and to take part you must play by the boy's rules. They have been playing the guy's game and they resent that Sarah Palin hasn't been required to. Plus she is a real woman and not a "man in a skirt" like Hillary. People shouldn't under-estimate how proud women are (even very liberal women) to have a woman in a position of authority and how much we want to see this happen.
