How did this get on Current Events?
Maybe we should have a nostalgia board?
My first car (when I was able to drive) was an old 1962 Pontiac.
I had lived in a big city after I left home and was used to taking subways and buses.
So I didn't learn to drive until much later, when I had moved back out to the country.
My ex taught me how to drive in this. Reminds me that he'd bring a newspaper with him and just hide behind it with the occasional grunt while I was driving.
All these years later, I am still a "safe driver" with no accidents.
