My first car was a 57 chevy with a bad motor, paid 50 bucks for it, bought a wrecked 67 chevelle with a 283 in it swapped the motors out and made about 500 bucks selling the good parts between the two, jump to 1973 bought a 3 yr old chevelle from dealer for 2700 bucks with 69 buck a month payments for 3 yrs, paid that one off and kept it, now in the interm we bought 300-1000 dollar cars, fixed em up and drove the snot outa them, up until late 90's when the computer controls and incresed inspection rules made it impossible to run older cars, well, we could'nt afford the 5k junkers on the lot......So we are sticking with a mid 90's car for now and have the chevelle on blocks and just waiting..Besides, can't afford a 33k Impala Lz these days......
