Earth fills up with too many people. Hopefully enough become both
disgruntled and have the means to get off planet. They start life anew
presumably the way they want to on a new world in a small group.
Eventually they too get too big, certain members become unhappy and
they branch off to yet another world, and onward throughout the
galaxy.
Which then goes back to the old Fermi Question: Where is everybody
if other species have also experienced the same situation as we are
beginning to face?
Or are we as unique as our solar system seems to be so far? Have all
other life forms found a way to get along and don't want or need to
leave home? Or maybe they respect the fact that we were here first.
Or maybe they are here and we are too clueless to recognize them.
