I don't know
Obama ran on a platform of moving the upper brackets back to the levels of the 1990's. I mentioned this to you before and you said we can't believe him. Maybe so because his plan is a net tax cut to be made up for in spending cuts. Couldn't find any spending cuts on his website. We'll see what happens. Maybe he thinks he'll take his turn at the printing press.
I like I said, I don't know many rich to put on the Barby but have a look at the concerns of Bill Gates Sr. and take note that his son is in agreement (I've heard them speak together about this):
Estate Tax by Gates Sr.
It puts a brake on the concentration of wealth and power, generates substantial revenue from those most able to pay and encourages billions of dollars in charitable giving each year. The estate tax is not only fair but an essential component of our nation’s economic dynamism.
Local Sales Tax
Washington's heavy reliance on sales taxes, however, means the poorest pay about 16 percent of their incomes to state taxes, while those making more than $130,000 annually pay about 6 percent. "Is anybody here really excited about this picture?" he said.
