I'm not sure the opinion on estate taxes of the father of an extremely wealthy person is all that credible. Somebody might want to ask Bill Gates' kids about this someday.
Class warfare is an extremely useful political weapon. Few people will look at the real numbers, or care. All they know is that someone has more than they do, and it isn't fair. Meanwhile the "house"--the government--rakes it in, and God help the poor sap who wonders why the government can't tighten its belt for a change.
