Right on, Art. I recently referred to all the wingers hoping for bad things to happen to America during Obama's term, in a sick and, dare I say it? traitorous, quest for vindication. And of course Tom tried to dance away by challenging me to produce even one winger who felt that way.
Which makes this current thread pretty damn ironic, dontcha think?
This isn't the first time that Tom's joined with other Bush apologists to express his pride that Bush has created problems so huge that his successor is having a hard time fixing them. We've seen this from the time of Bush's first screwups, lo these many long years ago, in the truly obnoxious rejoinder to come up with a solution to one of Bush's mistakes or shut up about it.
Fact of the matter is, the degree to which Obama has difficulty fixing the multiple messes is entirely a reflection of the stupendous failure of the Bush Administration. I'm sure it will take Obama all of his first term just to apply the tourniquets and stanch the bleeding. And Tom thinks that this is something of which he can be proud?
