Rare Earth
I have been a subscriber to the rare Earth theory for several reasons including the large moon effect.
However, the same HC show I mentioned opines that star systems like Alpha Centauri do not spawn Gas Giants and consequently such systems favor Earthlike planets due to the lack of gas giants and the presence of key elements for rocky planet formation.
It would be fateful to find a habitable planet so close
