Any blithering idiot in Washington can pass a huge, pork-filled spending bill. It's like bragging about being able to light a cigar in a forest fire.
He's announced "no more torture." Have you seen the fine print? The bit on renditions? Have you been paying attention to reality, and not just his rhetoric? How's he doing on lobbyists and earmarks?
How about foreign policy? Is he improving relations with our allies? Like Britain? Is Hillary doing anything but committing gaffes so far?
Obama is in way over his head. Pelosi and Reid are running him ragged. He hasn't done one thing yet any Democrat wouldn't have done in his place for the past twenty years--taxes and spending. He's just running down the standard DNC wish list, and basically pushing the most serious short-term problems down the road. I'm not seeing any "new ideas," or "different approaches." I hear a lot about our terrible financial regulations. Anybody working on that? Does that seem to be a high priority right now compared to, say, taking over health care?
Not that I think McCain would have done much better, but I wouldn't be pretending he was the greatest president ever either.
