Giving the billions back to the people instead of the banks and the insurance companies.
But that would NEVER happen. Instead they have middle men trickling down the monies to social and government programs and half of that is going to disappear through bureaucracy (paper pushers and the jobs they create). There was a very sobering 4 page article on the economy and baby boomers on MSNBC.
I am one of the ones being affected. I have several close (single) friends my age who have found themselves in the same position. Loss of their jobs and retirement funds, investments, 401K's and about to go belly up because of their debt or second mortgage. Most couples I know are still OK, but they're starting to lose their jobs in this ecomomy. The domino effect is beginning to start. I think this is just the beginning. Not much we can do to prepare.
"Bullets" as my Fed Ex driver told me today. LOL
