All of us on the right here were wearing drool buckets for Bush.

I recall TB painting putting up that link to the mural he painted which showed Bush's many accomplishments and even I thought it was a bit over the top when he named two of his mantises after Bush's daughters, Jenna and Barbara.

We all were guilty of it. I remember when Bush was pushing immigration reform, and I made a four page post defending Bush's position. When he brought up religion at the 2008 Olympics, I shamelessly defended him post after post, even arguing that it was clearly his prerogative to push religion while in office.

And then when our long-time resident Zoner conservative, Fred, posted that long conservative spiel after Colin Powell endorsed Obama, that was pure drool bucket. I remember TB and I defended Fred when he was attacked by some of the posters here.

But Fred wasn't the only one. Travis also was guilty of drool-bucketing for Bush. His conservative tirades, as we all know, are legendary and would regularly be moved to the flame board as he defended Bush after every unpopular decision or event. I remeber when you and Travis had that huge blowout on off-topic, and TB and I tried to get him to cool his jets. Finally REB, TAKFASE and Simon managed to get him back on an even-keel.

I apologize for the drool bucket Lindy. You were right. We were wrong.

We're human though. Forgive us.
