Earth's atmosphere has changed over time may times. I can't help but think it would behoove Mankind to encourage it to stay in the same form as it was when Man thrived.

And I just don't see why or how the current state of affairs are a stable end state. That doesn't make sense. That's like saying that dinosaurs were the end result of evolution.
