It must've been almost three years ago I read Dean's book, and yet that's your benchmark. I've gotten the distinct impression from your reaction every time I bring up a book that the last book you read really was Atlas Shrugged. In college.
What've I been reading in the last couple of months, let's see...Tenet's autobiography and an independent history of the CIA (entertaining contrast); historian Richard Hoftstadtler's 1948 classic The American Political Tradition; The irregulars : Roald Dahl and the British spy ring in wartime Washington by Jennet Conant; and this morning I started Setting the desert on fire : T.E. Lawrence and Britain's secret war in Arabia, 1916-1918 James Barr.
So forgive me if I'm not particularly bowled over by insults from a semiliterate lout who's a bitter partisan for an anti-intellectual political party whose official avatar is the drunken slob Joe Sixpack.
