Americans were scared to death when a sizable portion of the Republican Party reacted to the financial crisis last fall by saying, "Oh well, no big deal, let's just sit and do nothing and let the markets and the financial system work it out on its own."
Really? Bernake, and TARP--the first giant Bush bailout--never happened? Does that mean the Republicans don't get the blame for the chunk of the giant new deficits that was created by it?
