Hi ER
When orbitting around the Sun a low density rubble-pile takes an equilibrium shape depending on its self-gravity and its rotation period. In orbit around Saturn there's the tidal field and the centripetal force caused by its rotation around Saturn - even though that's apparently synchronous with its orbital period it could be quite substantial compared with a loose mass' g-field.
Anyone know that gap's orbital radius and period off the top of their heads?
What's the scale of the picture?
Knowing those we can work-out the tidal force and the centripetal force and see if either is consistent with a rubble pile or a cohesive object.
