re: Therefore
In a country where the political system has been given near-absolute power, engaging in politics is a matter of self-defense.
The right to petition the government is now essential, since the most effective activists have been granted the power to control and loot those who fail to be effective in the political arena.
God fights on the side of the biggest mob, the largest bribe, and the ones who can put the most activists on the streets or in the lobbying arena.
What Francisco called the "aristocracy of pull."
This has apparently now been defined as "democracy." A nice, pure democracy. Five wolves and four sheep deciding what's for dinner. What you get when the Constitution has become a matter of opinion.
