Is the day the Universe has ended or at the least science is no longer
actual science.

Yes, we as a species and society are quite new to many things in this
Cosmos. There are lots of things to figure out and science has never
claimed to know everything. It would be boring to know it all anyway.

As fro Lanza, I can see the appeal of his idea, but I also get a strong
sense of wishful thinking (pun not intended but I still like it) and he
really seems to have something against physicists and physics while
cowtowing to biologists, which - funny enough - he is of the latter camp.

This seems to be yet another case of a tenured professor who has
ventured into another field that is not is primary subject. Nothing wrong
with that and this can often lead to a different perspective, but what
I have read so far about and by the guy makes me think he is trying to
infuse Buddhism with biology, and you know how I feel about religion
masquerading as science.
